Swissquote names new Head of eForex Trading

The Swiss Banking Group, Swissquote, which provides financial and trading services across the European Union; has announced a new Head of eForex Trading. Stephan Marie will now be the new Head of Market Strategy & eForex Trading Development at Swissquote.

The firm has employed Marie since 2010. After nine years his promotion will allow him to become a part of the senior management team at Swissquote. He started his new role on June 1st, 2019. He originally joined the company as a manager of Foreign Exchange, never fully being able to reach the status of senior management. However, this has changed after holding his previous role for eight years and eight months.
Before becoming the new Head of eForex Trading, Marie was the deputy to Ryan Nettles. However, Mr Nettles left last month, which opened up the opportunity for Stephane to become the new Head.

Stephan Marie’s Career before Swissquote

Before working with Swissquote, Stephan was the Head of Advanced Currency Markets. He worked with that company for eight years before inevitably moving over to Swissquote. His career spans the past twenty years in the Forex Industry. He has had numerous roles during those two decades. However, none have been more critical than the one he just took up this month.
The Chief Executive Office at Swissquote, Marc Burk, commented on the company’s choice to appoint Marie as the new Head of eFX by saying, “Stephan has spent 23 years in the industry of which the last ten at Swissquote were helping us to shape our business and grow it. We are pleased to have Stephane take the leadership of our eForex trading operations and to welcome him in our senior management.”

Marie himself commented on his new role by saying, “I’m proud and honoured to be offered the lead in eForex trading and market strategy and to have the opportunity to bring the SwissquoteeForex business forward with our highly professional team and our partners.”
