Over the course of the last several months, the world has faced unprecedented challenges while facing the coronavirus that have impacted over 100 countries. It has resulted in the closure of borders, forced self-isolation of hundreds of thousands and the death of tens of thousands.

One of those countries that has suffered is Indonesia with the situation in the country being quite difficult. Most people are unable to acquire gloves or masks and hospitals throughout the country facing an increase lack of protective equipment to help with their protection and the reducing of the virus’s spread.

The reality is, most people in the country simply cannot afford to purchase protective equipment, and with the shortages in hospitals, it has seen dozens of physicians in the country dying as a result and hundreds of heath care practitioners infected.

The situation as dire as it is, brokerage firm FSB in April held a charity event to raise funds to help with the purchasing of protective equipment. Those funds were used to purchase and distribute gloves, liquid sanitizers, masks, and various other protective equipment needed to the Santo Borromeus Hospital, the Soreang Hospital, the Tasikmalaya Public Health Center, the Pratama Clinic and the Karawang Bayu Karta Hospital.

Beyond that of those given to local hospitals, the team from FSB gave masks to people on the street for free while in the Kiaracondong subdistrict of Bandung. Itr is hoped by the company that its actions and those who donated will help to flatten the CIDID-19 curve in Indonesia.

The goal of the charity event was to help those in health care and who are in most need and as a company, FSB has stated that it will continue to invest in similar events throughout the region to donate more masks, gloves and other protective equipment to public health centers.
