The British Virgin Islands Olympic Committee ( BVIOC ) and iFOREX Online Trading have entered a mutual partnership. This specialized agreement will allow for the global financial brokerage to become the secondary sponsor for the British Virgin Islands Olympic Team. It took these small islands considerably longer than the average time to acquire a sponsor. Subsequently, the British Virgin Islands are guaranteed the necessary funds to enter the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
This partnership becomes beneficial for iFOREX with the online content agreement. This brokerage can publish this content to their website, chronicling the British Virgin Islands through this Olympic journey. It’s rumoured that this will include updates regarding Olympic Training Camps, with individual results being posted regularly. It should be noted that iFOREX is combining their sponsorship efforts alongside Puma, who had already partnered with the British Virgin Islands. Puma is listed as the head sponsor, with iFOREX coming second.
The guaranteed athletes for the British Virgin Islands Olympic Team isn’t entirely known. It’s rumoured that it’ll comprise of four athletes, including two men. Kyron McMaster and Eldred Henry from the BVIs have passed qualifying in their respective sports. Additional details regarding other athletes are unfortunately not known. Supports can expect a female presence as well.
Representatives from iFOREX spoke to reporters regarding this partnership. They stated: “As a company licensed in the British Virgin Islands, we have first-hand awareness of the spirit and potential of this exceptional team and we are proud and excited to support the athletes in their remarkable efforts to bring home the Territory’s first Olympic medal. By lining up with Puma, known for its history of performance and strong support, we’re proud to help the BVI’s athletes represent their country with devotion and determination,” added an iFOREX spokesperson.
The British Virgin Islands Olympic Committee President spoke on this partnership. Ephraim Penn stated: “The BVI Olympic Committee is delighted that a respectable and successful investment firm such as iFOREX Online Trading has identified the potential of the BVI team for Tokyo 2020 and we believe that together we can make history and see a first Olympic medal won by an athlete competing for the Virgin Islands.”
